New Additions to Team Canada

Dear Travel Trade Partners,

Air New Zealand has a clear and definitive strategy for continued growth in Canada, based on the growing demand for destination New Zealand and the South Pacific region. 

In line with our planned 20% increase in capacity from Vancouver to Auckland, we have added a few new team members to ensure that we have an even greater focus on our key trade partners.   

I have also taken the opportunity to re-align our structure to have a regional focus moving forward. In doing so, our three Regional Sales Managers will now be responsible for Leisure; Corporate and SME within their assigned territory. In addition, we will have two Account Development Managers across Canada to support both the Regional Sales Managers as well as execute the strategic plans for the region. We look forward to strengthening our partnerships with our key trade partners at all levels.

I’d like to take this opportunity now to introduce you to:

EASTERN CANADA

Tyler Mattioli, Account Development Manager – Eastern Canada. Tyler joins us with a strong background in the travel industry. He started his career leading a team at Flight Centre for 5 years in Toronto and comes to us most recently from Air Canada Vacation based in Toronto as their Area Sales Manager, South Western Ontario. He brings with him a wealth of travel industry experience along with strong relationships with many key accounts in the Ontario region.
 

WESTERN CANADA

Katie Olsson, Regional Sales Manager – Western Canada. Katie has a great background in travel spanning multiple roles with Intrepid Travel based in Morocco, Europe and Toronto. She spent 7 years growing with the company, where she eventually led a team of BDMs as their Director of Industry Sales North America. Katie comes to us most recently from Air Canada Vacations based in Vancouver as their Area Sales Manager, BC. She is well versed with the Canadian market and will bring her considerable experience and knowledge to this role.

Raissa Cheu, Account Development Manager, Western Canada. Raissa also has a background in travel and comes to us from Cathay Pacific, where she was the marketing coordinator for Canada. As an integral part of her previous role, Raissa worked closely with the sales teams in Vancouver and Toronto; supporting them through actively building out marketing plans/strategies; marketing content and working closely with key accounts to drive engagement through all channels.

 

Brian Jobling and Sabrina Bernacchia will remain in Eastern Canada as our Regional Sales Managers. They will work closely with our new team members to ensure that there is a smooth and seamless transition.
